A Non-Surgical Solution that Regenerates Hair 9x Faster
What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?
Blood (or plasma) contains red cells, white cells and platelets. Best known for the ability to clot blood, platelets also contain proteins, or growth factors, which are critical for repairing and regenerating damaged skin tissue, ligament tissue, arthritic joints, cartilage and even stimulating hair follicles to renew hair growth.
PRP is plasma that contains more platelets than is typically found in blood. Using your own drawn blood, platelets are separated from other blood cells, and their concentration is increased, using a centrifuge. This increased platelet concentration is then injected back into your body where healing is needed most.
PRP is placed into a syringe and injected into the area of hair loss. Prior to injection, the Doctor can numb the area to decrease scalp sensitivity during the procedure.
For maximum results, it is recommended that 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart, be performed.
How It Works
PRP stimulates the growth of hair follicles. It helps reverse the hair miniaturization seen in female and male pattern hair loss. Research has shown that when injected under the dermis (skin), PRP can help regenerate hair 9x faster. A natural treatment, this uses platelet-rich plasma produced by your own body, so the possibility of rejection or drug interaction is therefore eliminated.
Increased thickness of hair and increased number of hairs will be noticed over a period of 2-6 months. It is recommended to continue PRP treatments periodically to maintain results.
