What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?
Blood contains red cells, white cells, plasma and platelets. Best known for their ability to clot blood, platelets also contain proteins, or growth factors, which are critical for healing injuries and repairing and regenerating damaged skin tissue.
PRP is plasma that contains more platelets than are typically found in blood. Using your own drawn blood, platelets are first separated from other blood cells, and their concentration is increased during a process called centrifugation. This increased platelet concentration is then combined back into the remaining plasma and injected back into your body.

Our Procedure
A topical anesthetic is placed over the treatment area to decrease sensation of the skin. An electric microneedling tool is moved slowly back and forth over the treatment area to create tiny punctures in the first layer of skin. These small punctures create a healing and repair response by your body that restores a youthful glow.
If you elect to add PRP to your facial, a thin layer is applied to your face before the microneedling procedure. After, we apply an additional layer of PRP to the treatment area that you will leave on for at least 4 hours. The remaining PRP can then be injected using small needle into targeted treatment areas.
The Result
The process should take about an hour to complete and you’ll start to see results in a few weeks, with complete results in 4-6 months. For optimal results, we recommend scheduling 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
There is minimal downtime after each procedure, and you may resume regular activity the following day. We will provide specific advice regarding sun exposure as well as answers to other questions at the time of your treatment.
